How to Vote

The by-election for Sackville-Cobequid will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2019.

Vote before Election Day!

You can vote at the Elections Nova Scotia Returning Office in advance of election day.

The returning office is located at 585 Sackville Drive, and is open from 9am - 6pm, Monday to Saturday, with extended hours of 9am - 8pm on June 13 and 14.

You can also vote at the advance poll, located at the Knights of Columbus Hall (252 Cobequid Rd) on:

  • June 8, 9am - 6 pm
  • June 10, 11, 12, 15 from 9 am - 6 pm
  • June 13 & 14, 9 am - 8 pm

The polls on election day will be open from 8 am - 8 pm.

To be eligible to vote, you must be an eligible elector:

  • 18 years of age or older on June 18
  • A Canadian citizen
  • Lived in Nova Scotia since November 15, 2018
  • Resides in the electoral district of Sackville-Cobequid

You should have received a voter information card (VIC) in the mail. It will indicate where you can vote if you wait till June 18.
Take your VIC with you when you go to vote, for faster service.
